“Our country has always believed people should have the right to rise as far as their talents and ambition will take them. That opportunity is denied to parents who cannot find safe, reliable, and economical child care. Many people today are choosing not to have children so they can pursue their careers. We will be a richer and more equal nation if we stop making people choose between having children and having a fulfilling career. Other nations have figured out how to do this, it’s time that we pioneer a high quality child care system in North Carolina.”
